Biola uses Canvas, a platform for electronic education. It is recommended that you access Canvas using the Firefox web browser. A reliable high-speed internet connection will be important. During the summer between admission to the program and the start of your first main class, you will be equipped with variety of activities to get to know the system and ensure that you won’t experience technical difficulties.
Each course has a definite start and stop date and will have weekly assignments. Students will be required to interact with classmates by certain days of each week, but not at specified times. Within each week there is flexibility as to when students complete reading, log on to contribute to the discussion board, or work on assignments. This kind of flexibility within some time constraints allows students to make progress in their study while maintaining current obligations and commitments.
