Cook School of Intercultural Studies Announces New Academic Journal: The Great Commission Research Journal

Biola University is pleased to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Cook School of Intercultural Studies

Mark met his first non-English speaking friends in second grade, and immediately fell in love with language. After teaching English in South America, Mark decided to return to the U.S. and now teaches English to students from all over the world.

From her very first missions trip to Mexico, Susan knew that she wanted to learn more about other cultures and languages. Today she is able to apply what she learned at SICS to a new mission field: her own community.

Ivan works as a Director of International Student Services and has focused primarily on inner city missions across the U.S. including Milwaukee, Queens NY, Chicago and Houston.

Sharon's experience teaching English in Africa was challenging. Today, she is equipping herself at SICS and excited to return to the mission field.

Heather has travelled the world. Her experiences in Egypt, China and Vietnam fueled her passion to learn more about other cultures and her decision to come to SICS and teach English as a second language today.
