Elizabeth Pereda (M.A. '16) finished her master's degree in Intercultural Studies within one year.
Elizabeth shares, "It was a wonderful experience to transition straight into Cook's intercultural studies master's program, immediately after my undergraduate studies. The process was not only seamless, but it felt very natural. The program took a lot of the concepts I was already familiar with and expanded on them even more, with even more detail. In fact, it gave me the opportunity to hone in on what I wanted to focus on. In my case, that would be social justice. Although, it was challenging and arduous, it was also a gratifying and rewarding experience that was transformational from beginning to end. To be able to expand by mind and heart in order to learn more about God's greatest creation was an opportunity that I will never take for granted. Looking back at my time at Biola, both as an undergraduate and graduate student, I see how it has taught me to see that God is truly everywhere and how His love is truly intertwined in every single one of us. Biola has left its mark on me, much like God does in all of us."
